A Bluetooth monitor application has been created for Android 2.x that runs in the background as a service and enables the phone to monitor several Bluetooth sensors simultaneously. This service can be used in conjunction with various activities such as a pattern recognition algorithm or intervention engine to support mhealth applications.
OpenMRS plug-ins for mHealth
We have created a JAVA plug-in for the OpenMRS package that enables mobile phone and sensor data to be uploaded and displayed on the OpenMRS web front end.
Android ECG Sensor
A new low power ECG device is now available which can be worn as a chest strap and transmits heart rate data to the mobile phone.
